I thought this was great.....Thanks Annette!!

For those of you who have been watching the news and may have wondered....
Some Mormon women sing...

Some Mormon women dance...

Some Mormon women write scary stories...

Some Mormon women have lots of money and really great hair...

I know hundreds of Mormon women.
They do all kinds of different things and live all different kinds of lives.

This woman served as a leader in the Mormon church. She recently spoke to teenage girls worldwide. She encouraged them to stand up to peer pressure, strengthen their families and serve others.

None of the Mormon women I know look like this...

None of them are marrying off their teenage daughters and-- although some may joke about wanting a sister-wife (preferably one who is really fat & ugly, does bathrooms and changes diapers)--none of them really want to share their husband with anyone.

Furthermore...

Some Mormon guys can throw a ball...

Some Mormon guys yell at the ball...

Some Mormon guys make scary movies...

Some Mormon guys have a lot of money and really great hair...

I know hundreds of Mormon guys. They do all kinds of different things and live all kinds of different lives.

This is one of the leaders of the Mormon church. Last Sunday he spoke about honoring women, especially mothers, and gave advice to husbands and children about how to treat the women in their lives.

None of the Mormon men I know look like this...

The Mormon men I know are honest and hard-working. They don't cheat, smoke, drink or gamble. And TRUST ME....the last thing any of them want is another wife.

I can't wait...

I love to read. I am so excited for May, there is 2 books that I am anxiously waiting for. The first one is the "The Host" by Stephenie Meyer, who is a great author and the other is the 5th book in the series "The Great and Terrible" by Chris Stewart. So beside family and everything else I am going to be busy in May reading. It'll be good since Shane just got called as assistand Scout Master and I believe they are going to Catalina Island very soon, probaly after school gets out. I am also in charge of a group that will being going to St. George in August to the Tuacahn to see Les Mes. I am very excited about that, however Shane is not thirlled, but I think that he will enjoy it.

This weekend we had soccer games. Shayna's team won 4-0, there record is now 3-1. Bryce scored 6 goals and played very well. In the age goup that Bryce plays in, they don't keep score. We are just happy that the team all stay's on the field and that they are not chasing butterfiles and/or crying. I took my camera to the games but by batteries died before I could take a picture. That's my luck.

Shayna went to her Primary teachers house after soccer to make cookies. Her Primary teacher has two sons that are in the service and are stationed in Japan. So they made cookies to send to the soliders. She had a great time. While Shayna was there we took Bryce to the mall to get some new glasses. He has broke 3 pairs this year and he has having to wear his soccer goggles. I need to go back to work for the Eye Dr........Nah I don't think so.

So this is the completion to our exciting week. My Mom and Grandma are coming in 2 weeks and I am SOOOOO excited to see them.

Want to know a seceret?

I love to watch the UFC. Shane and I enjoy doing this together. It reminds me of when I was a little girl and we would stay up late on Saturday nights and watch WWF wresteling. I was a "Hulkamanic". Some of the best times was staying up late with Dad and watching all those fights and we lived for Wrestelmania. However, the UFC is better because it is real. (Sorry Dad.) We also watch the Ultimate Fighting Challenge on Spike TV on Wednesdays. It is so fun and Shane and I really get into it. So there is my dirty little seceret. BTW this picture is of Matt Hughes and he is my FAVORITE!!

Oh what do you do in the summertime????

So maybe it's not summer where you are at, but it is sure nice here. Shayna and Bryce have both been playing soccer for 2 1/2 years now. This is how we spend our Saturday's in the spring, summer, and fall. Shayna is on an all girls team and she is the goalie. She loves playing the goalie she has definatley improved over the last couple of seasons. I love to watch her team when there is actually some structure. Bryce on the other hand does not have alot of structure, they just chase the ball around and they don't play a goalie. Last Saturday I actually took my camera and took some pictures and I thought I would share them.....So now you now what we do 9 months out of the year.

Here we go...

Well I must say that my sister inspired me to do this and it seem fun to share our families lives with you. This is going to be an exciting year for us here at the Thompson household. Shane and I are planning on going to the Temple on September 4th and we are VERY excited. To have my children with me forever is so exciting. (I guess I will take Shane with me also). I don't write in a journal so I thought I could do an online journal. Thank you for being such important friends and families in our lives. Love to all of you.....
