Every year we go to Tooele, Utah for Christmas. That is were my family lives. This year we left Las Vegas on Christmas Eve. We arrived in Tooele at about 8pm. We were famished. We stopped at my Grandma and Grandpa's for some dinner and visiting. Then we were off to my Mom's home where there was a houseful. 4 kids, 8 adults, and 2 grandmas. Once we got the kiddos to bed, we (the older kids) stayed up and rocked out to Rock Band. It was fun!! Then it was to be to await the big visit. We were all together to opend presents and eat a fabulous breakfast that my Mom works so hard on. We spent 2 days in jammies, playing Gutair Hero and Rock Band. Thank goodness we had 2 wii, so the adults could play on one and then the kiddos could play on the other. On Christmas night it started snowing and snowing and snowing. My kids were so excited to go sledding the next day. It was such a great Christmas and the kids, I mean adults, were so excited to get tickets to Disneyland.

Rugrat Tournment 2008
Shayna has been playing soccer for over 3 years. She is the team goalie. This last season we played in the co-ed under 8 division and they definatley held their own aganist the boys. Then we went to the Rugrat tournament this year we played in the under 9 girls division. This particular weekend was the same weekend that I hurt my back, Shayna got baptized, and I had 15 family members staying at my home. Shayna and her team played very well. They played a game on Sunday morning and it was very exciting! The game was tied and we had to go to penalty kicks. Now, our team has never done that nor have they practiced it. We were all holding our breath!! Our girls scored all 4 of their kicks and Shayna blocked 2 of the 4 kicks, so their was no reason to kick a 5th kick. We ended up winning the game 6 to 4. We ended the tournament 4-0, and received 1st place. It was SO exciting, and I was so nervous. I think that it is much harder for a parent to watch their child to play than to actually play themselves. We devote a lot of time and effort to soccer and after that game it made it all worth it. Oh, and accoring to her coach she is the best U-9 girls goalie in the state! Such a huge compilament for Shayna!

Pictures with Santa, and Turkey Day in Colorado

Every year we travel to Grand Junction Colorado for Thanksgiving. We eat till we are busting out the seams at Aunt Kay's home. We have such a great time there. They live on 5 acres (I think) and my kids can run until their hearts content. Then on black Friday, Shane and I go shopping. Our friends Jerrud and Lynn have gone with us in the previous years, but now there family has moved from Grand Junction, so this year it was just Shane and I. Since I felt there were not any OH I HAVE TO HAVE IT deals, Shane and I just made a few stops to pick a couple things up for Shayna's birthday. After a few hours of shopping we met our kids, Gary & Judy, and Grandma Richardson at the most fabulous restaurant Starvin' Arvins. They have THE BEST breakfast that I have ever had and to top it off they are cheap. After that is was time to head home for a nap, because that night we were going to go to a craft show and see Santa and the lights turned on on Main street. Every year in GJ they have a great craft show at Two River convention center. Santa comes and sees the kids and every kid their gets a toy, and not just like a dollar store toy, but a pretty nice toy. I love going to the craft show, the smells, music, and of coarse the fabulous crafts. I love going to GJ, it is such a nice town and Shane's family is so much fun.

Yep, he's still the MAN...

Although I am a die hard Edward fan, you can help but to love Jacob Black. Let's face it his is pretty dang cute and has the nicest smile to go with it. One of my pet peeves is when they change casting on sequels. I hate that!!! So here's to you Taylor Lautner, I am so glad that you are still JB...the werewolf!!

Shayna's Baptism
On December 6, 2008 Shayna was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This was such an exciting day for us. She looked like an angel in her white dress. After the baptism and conformation, we all rushed off to watch her soccer game that her team won. We had my family come from Salt Lake, but my Grandma Renee and Grandpa Jerry were not able to make it. It was so nice to have the rest of my family come, my dad even flew to Las Vegas for the special occasion. To say the least my house was FULL! What an exciting day this was for Shayna, and she was so ready to be baptized. It was such a joy for me to see her dad baptize her and confirm her. It was definitely a memorable day!

Shayna's Birthday
Shayna turned 8 on November 30th and we were in Colorado for Thanksgiving. So for her birthday we went bowling. All of Shane's family came to celebrate her birthday. We had such a good time bowling, eating cake, and pizza. We then topped off the night going to a friends house and eating some Mexican food. We had such a good time and Shayna was so excited to be baptized the following weekend.
